Nappa leather is a chrome tanned and soft leather of various animal species. Chrome tanning is the most common tanning method. It is faster than vegetable tanning and has the advantage that this form of tanning produces many, different colors. The special feature of this leather is that the grain pattern and structure of the skin are preserved. Handbags made of nappa leather look very natural and feel very pleasant and supple. Nappa leather doesn´t like sun and water. Light dirt can be removed with a microfiber cloth and leather cleaning foam. Leather lotion protects and cares for the leather and gives it a long-lasting shine.
“Creating bags, is not only a creative, craftsmanship process. It is also a process of discovering new people, characters. It has to fit not only to the body or practical needs, but mainly to the character. And I take it slowly until I get to know more to can create the bags. It can take time until I meet the inspiring me woman. But at the end – the inspiring me woman carries a Philini bag, and I carry the memory about her. And so appear the collections - timeless, long-lasting and getting just more beautiful through the patina of the natural leather, as we all get to be with time and life-experience…” Nataly Brunner
